Participating students had opportunities to speak in person, ask questions, share their concerns, and express their perspectives directly to elected officials, their staff, and community leaders.

Through these activities, students developed greater confidence in public speaking, strengthened their understanding of civic responsibilities, and gained firsthand experience in communicating with public officials.

The experiences also encouraged students to recognize that young people can contribute meaningful perspectives to discussions about education, community needs, cultural understanding, and other issues affecting their generation.

Recognizing Youth Leadership and Civic Participation

The Asian Youth Capitol Hill Voice Award recognizes young individuals who have demonstrated initiative, responsibility, and a commitment to making their voices heard through civic education, public communication, community service, and leadership activities.

By recognizing these efforts, ACAESUSA seeks to encourage continued youth participation in civic life and inspire other students to become informed, engaged, and responsible community members.

The award reflects ACAESUSA’s belief that leadership development extends beyond the classroom. Through firsthand experiences, students can learn how government institutions function, how communities communicate their concerns, and how individuals can participate constructively in public discussions.

These opportunities also help young people develop valuable skills in communication, critical thinking, collaboration, and civic responsibility.

Awards Presented at the 2026 ACAESUSA Leadership Summit

The award presentation took place on June 29, 2026, during the ACAESUSA Leadership Summit at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The summit featured youth leadership discussions, cultural exchange, community engagement, youth presentations, networking, and recognition of outstanding young participants.

Youth participants, families, educators, community leaders, and invited guests gathered to celebrate the achievements of students who demonstrated a commitment to civic engagement and community leadership.

The Asian Youth Capitol Hill Voice Award is an independent recognition established by ACAESUSA. It is not an award issued or endorsed by the United States Congress or any government agency.

The ACAESUSA Leadership Summit 2026 was independently organized and hosted by ACAESUSA alongside the United Chinese Americans (UCA) Annual Convention, with venue support provided by UCA.

Continuing ACAESUSA’s Commitment to Youth Civic Education

Through its youth leadership programs, community service initiatives, cultural exchange activities, and civic engagement opportunities, ACAESUSA continues to encourage young people to learn about democratic institutions, develop leadership skills, and participate meaningfully in their communities.

The experiences gained through visits to government offices, town hall meetings, and direct conversations with public officials demonstrate the importance of providing young people with opportunities to learn, communicate, and take initiative.

ACAESUSA congratulates all Asian Youth Capitol Hill Voice Award recipients and sincerely thanks the participating students, families, educators, volunteers, public officials, community leaders, and supporters who have helped make these educational experiences possible.

Official Award Recipients

The following students were recognized for their participation and contributions to ACAESUSA’s youth civic engagement and leadership initiatives during 2025 and 2026:

Adam Zhang,

Ian Song,

Meihua Zhou,

Katelyn Hu,

Jason Li

Julian Liu,

Anya Liu,

Yihan Cheng,

Sophie Wang,

Alex Lin

Award and Event Information

Award: Asian Youth Capitol Hill Voice Award

Civic Engagement Activities: 2025–2026

Activity Locations: Washington, D.C.; Austin, Texas; Dallas, Texas; and other communities across the United States

Activities: Congressional Office Visits, State and Local Government Office Visits, Town Hall Meetings, Youth Advocacy, and Civic Education

Award Presentation: June 29, 2026

Event: ACAESUSA Leadership Summit 2026

Venue: Octavius Ballroom 5, Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

Organizer: Asian Culture and Education Society USA (ACAESUSA)

Venue Support: United Chinese Americans (UCA)

Website: www.acaesusa.org

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA — June 29, 2026 — The Asian Culture and Education Society USA (ACAESUSA) recognized outstanding young leaders with the Asian Youth Capitol Hill Voice Awards – Youth Civic engagement & Leadership award during the ACAESUSA Leadership Summit 2026, held at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada.
